Paa Halzuwn is a vibrant maths race game where players roll dice, solve quick number challenges, and race along a spiral board to land exactly on 144. It blends the familiar fun of Snakes & Ladders and Ludo with clever strategy and real arithmetic, making it perfect for KS2 learners, families, and classrooms.
Designed for ages 6+ with support, 9+ independently, it turns mental maths into fast, competitive play that builds confidence and fluency.
Why It Stands Out
- Builds maths confidence through fun, repetition, and quick decision‑making
- Strengthens KS2 skills including +, –, ×, ÷, >, <, square numbers, square roots, sequences, and number sense
- Encourages strategic thinking — not just luck
- Three game modes
- Ideal for home learning, tutoring, SEN support, and family game nights
How to Play
Players start on the outer ring of a colourful 144‑cell spiral and race inward. Each turn you:
- Roll the dice
- Solve a quick maths challenge
- Move according to your result like snakes or ladders
- Activate operator cells using +, –, ×, ÷, square, square root, >, <
The first player to land exactly on 144 wins.
Three Ways to Play
1. Beginner Mode — Fast & Fun
A simple roll‑and‑move version using one dice each. Players roll, move, and activate maths cells (+, –, ×, ÷, square, square root, >, <). Perfect for new players and quick family games.
2.Tactical Mode — Dice‑Draft Strategy
Players roll multiple dice and choose one die each to make their move. Introduces displacement (knocking opponents off), locked‑out rules, standstill cells, pass‑the‑roll, dice splits, and second‑go runs. Adds clever planning and competitive interaction.
3. Advanced Mode — Two Pieces, Deep Tactics
Each player controls two game pieces and must use both dice every turn. Active cells become more tactical, displacement becomes critical, and endgame rules create exciting decisions. The most strategic and competitive way to play.
This progression makes Paa Halzuwn suitable for mixed‑ability groups and long‑term use.
